Toronto Psychotherapists can help.
If you are feeling anxious, depressed or angry, have suffered trauma, or are unhappy with your life’s path, a Toronto psychotherapist can help you reshape your future.
Choosing the right therapist is as important as making the decision to see one in the first place. Not only will you want to be assured that your psychotherapist is highly qualified but you will have a much better experience if your therapist is someone you can trust to help you find your way.
Meet our group of highly trained psychotherapists serving the Toronto area.
This site will introduce you to a selection of highly trained and qualified therapists who are helping clients throughout Toronto and the GTA.
All of our therapists have extensive training and experience are members, or are in the process of becoming members, of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario which was proclaimed in 2015.
Each therapist has written a personal profile outlining their particular interests and areas of specialty, as well as personal experiences that have shaped their own approach to psychotherapy. We invite you to browse through their profiles to find a psychotherapist who you feel would be a good match for you.
If you’re interested in learning more about one of our therapists or perhaps arranging an initial meeting, feel free to contact him or her directly. You will find contact information on each therapist’s profile page. Many therapists offer a free initial consultation.
How do I know I need psychotherapy?
On this site you’ll find information about the issues and situations bringing people to a Toronto therapist and about psychotherapy itself.
Psychotherapy can sometimes be confused with counseling therapy. In general, counseling is a more directive approach; a counselor will often give advice. Psychotherapy (also known simply as therapy) on the other hand, helps to bring us to a point where we are better able to make our own decisions.
Please refer to our Tips for Psychotherapy and FAQ sections for the answers to the most common questions people have about psychotherapy.
If you have any questions about therapy in Toronto or about this website, feel free to contact us.
Although the members of Toronto Psychotherapists are all individuals with varying approaches to the practice of psychotherapy, we are all committed to our own growth as therapists, as colleagues and as people.
